Beauty Chit Chat | Brows & a Kat Von D Tattoo Liner Dupe

Hey y’all! I was browsing around Target (dangerous territory and honestly just an awful idea) and I found myself in the beauty aisle. I picked up a few things but I want to talk about 2 in particular.

Now I am a die hard Kat Von D Tattoo Liner girl. Winged liner and red lips are my go to and KVD has always had my back when it comes to wings so sharp they could kill a man. I’m not sure why I decided to talk a look at NYX liquid liners, maybe I was just curious, maybe I was dreading spending $20 on another liner at Sephora (I go through it like candy) maybe it was a combination of both. Either way, I stumbled across the NYX Epic Ink Liner and y’all, this stuff lives up to its name.

I was a little skeptical at first, KVD has the blackest of the black when it comes to pen liners and her brush tip makes it so easy to get needle thin lines, so I was expecting the NYX liner to fizzle in comparison. Boy was I wrong. This stuff is BLACK. It stays put. It might even make a thinner line than KVD.

I’ve worn it every single day for about a week now with no smudging, no budging, no fading and no transferring. I did notice a tiny bit of bleeding when I first applied it but it was hardly noticeable and I haven’t had any issues with it since.

So, if you’re like me and you’re looking for flawless on a budget (like an $8 budget,) give this stuff a try.

Moving on!

Raise your hand if you’re happy that the “brows bigger than your face” trend has finally passed!

I was a huge Anastasia Dip Brow fan. My brows were big and bold and dark. And then I got sick of painting my brows on every morning. I had tried the Hourglass Arch Brow and I LOVED how easy it was to use as well as the natural but polished look it gave, but I didn’t love the price. My roommate had told me about the Soap & Glory Brow Archery, so I decided to give it a go. THIS STUFF IS TOO EASY YOU GUYS. It’s got a fatter applicator so it takes about half the time to do your brows, couple that with the fact that it blends super easily and you’ve got yourself a winner. Add in the $14 price tag and this stuff is just too good to resist.

That’s it! My two drugstore picks of the week! I’m hoping to have more posts soon, with the semester winding down things are getting crazy but I have a ton of holiday content coming soon so stay tuned!
