I am always looking for an excuse to pick up a new fragrance. I’ve really been into scent association lately so my perfume collection has grown exponentially (sorry bank account.) Well let it be known that the scent associated with 2016 is Armani Sí.
I actually discovered this scent last fall but I was trying to curb my spending so I settled for a sample from Sephora. Fast forward to this year and well here we are.
The packaging is sleek with a heavy glass bottle and a snug fit black cap. But what is inside is even better. Light and sweet with just a hint of fruitiness, Sí is my definition of the perfect everyday scent. With top notes of Sicilian Bergamot, Mandarin and Blackcurrant liqueur you are greeted with a fresh warm scent (my fave). The base notes of vanilla, amber, patchouli, woods and orcanox mixed with the heart notes of neroli, egyptian jasmine, freesia and rose de mai leave you with a warm, rich base that lasts all day.
The wear time on this scent is amazing. I personally stop smelling it after about 2 hours but later when I pick up any article of clothing that I wore with it I can still smell it as if it was just applied. I find it to be sweet, inviting, very feminine and just overall easy to identify with. It’s not particularly unique, as in if probably won’t be a scent that will stick out to you, its just perfect for everyday wear.
If you weren’t able to tell from my last favorite perfume post (check it out here) I really go for warm, fresh scents. So if you’re a fan of Commodity Gold, Lancome La Vie Est Belle or Modern Muse Le Rouge then you’ll probably enjoy Sí.
