I’m a fragrance hoarder. I love them. I love having an endless number of scents to mix and match depending on my mood for the day. My collection has grown, scents have come and gone, some are my go to and some are so full of sentimental value that they seem only appropriate for the most special of occasions. When your collection is as big as mine it can be hard to find a new scent that really captures your fancy. Enter Commodity Goods Gold.
I picked this up last fall during Sephora’s VIB sale, I was having a look around the fragrance section seeing if there was anything I had missed. I first discovered the travel spray version, as soon as I opened the cap I knew I had to have it. Unfortunately they only had the travel spray in store, so reluctantly I took home the travel size and anxiously waited for the full size to be delivered.
The bottle is extremely simple in design, a smooth, cylindrical bottle. The smooth, slightly rubberized (think Nars packaging) white top is extremely secure. The label a smooth white with gold embossing. What’s even better is what’s inside. Gold is a rich, warm scent. Composed of a mixture of sweet and musk, Commodity has achieved a perfect balance between sweet and sexy. The composition begins with Bergamot, Juniper Berries, Camphor. This is followed by Amber, Haitian Vetiver, Benzoin and at its base there is Sandalwood, Vanilla, Tonka Bean, Nubian Musk. Decadent to it’s very core this scent lingers on your skin and clothing all day and I find that the longer I wear it, the more I like it. Perfect for day and night this perfume is definitely worth a look.
