In my humble opinion, gingham is the quintessential pattern of summer. I love it. Red gingham, blue gingham, gingham seersucker. Just give me all the gingham. Seriously, give me all of it. I was browsing Shein’s website and I stumbled across this gingham peplum top, and I was just like “oh, hello” and then I saw the back. Well long story short here we are talking about this adorable gingham peplum top with the bowties on the back.
For this outfit, I paired this top with favorite white skinnies and my new Jack Rogers. I finished the look with my favorite boater from last summer and threw on my cat eye sunnies and grabbed my Speedy 30. I’ve also paired this top with my J.Crew Chinos for a family BBQ.
I did pick this up from Shein which has received a lot of flack lately, so if you have any questions regarding my thoughts on Shein, stay tuned because I’ve got a review post with my tips for purchasing from Shein coming soon. Anyway, back to the shirt, the fabric isn’t the best quality and the sleeves are a little restricting but other than that I have no complaints! The cut is even, the stitching is sturdy and the pattern lines are straight, and it’s only $15.
