One month into 2017 and I can already tell this is gonna be a crazy year! New internship, new job, new major (as a senior!!), all in all, it is going to be a crazy crazy year and I am so excited. But enough chit chat, lets get to all the things I’ve been loving this month.
BEAUTY
I am so happy that I finally splurged on a new Clarisonic. I purchased my first Clarisonic about 4 years ago and I LOVED it. Fast forward to last spring when my trusty companion decided to die on me. I knew I wanted to buy a new one but spring break was coming, and summer plans were piling up and before I knew it I forgot exactly how much I loved my Clarisonic. Fast forward again to earlier in January, I was fed up with how dull my skin was looking and decided the time had come to reinvest. After just three weeks my skin is already looking brighter and my fine lines in my forehead (I have ridiculously expressive eyebrows) are all but gone. Long story short, I love love love my Clarisonic and if you’re looking for that item to take your skin to the next level, I cannot recommend it enough.
PS- be on the lookout for an in-depth review later this month
Neutrogena Naturals Purifying Facial Cleanser
I have been on the lookout for a gentle, everyday cleanser for months now. I’ve tried high end, I’ve tried drugstore, foaming, gel, everything. Well I finally found one. And the best part? It’s super cheap (college budget rejoices!) This is a bit stripping on the skin, but I am a religious moisturizer so I can live with it.
Clinique Beyond Perfecting Foundation
This was a rediscovery this past month. Every once in awhile I like to go through my makeup and rotate out some products in my most used makeup drawer (if you want to see a post on whats in my glambox, let me know in the comments.) Now I’m not gonna lie, the only reason I grabbed this foundation is because it was one of the only shades I had that matched my current casper like complexion. Well I fell back in love with the natural, full coverage look it gave me. Unlike a lot of full coverage foundations this one blends so seamlessly into the skin that you almost forget its a full coverage foundation.
I will never ever ever not have this in my makeup bag. I will be the first to admit that I do not get enough sleep, we’re talking maybe 5-6 hours a night. Put my lack of sleep with my genetics, you are left with some pretty dark undereye circles. I used to use Benefit’s Lemon-Aid, but I wasn’t loving how hard it was to blend, so when someone recommended Becca’s Undereye Brightner I was intrigued. This is a creamy, salmon colored undereye corrector and I am obsessed. I can wear this on it’s own or under makeup and it is the perfect pick me up.
Lifestyle
I love me some SoulCycle, unfortunately my wallet does not. Enter CycleCast. I found this app while I was checking out some reviews on the SoulCycle App, and I am loving it!! For under $10 a month you get access to a variety of cycle class recordings ranging from 20-60 minutes. The best part about it is you can do your workout wherever and whenever you like, all you need is a bike.
It is no secret that I am a planner lover. I have used Lilly Pulitzer, Kate Spade, Erin Condren, The Day Designer, I am even in the process of designing my own planner. But while that project is still in the planning phases, I am loving my To-Do List planner by She Plans on Etsy. There are some things that I wish were different (I’m considering doing an in-depth review if that is something y’all would be interested in.) but for the most part this is the most functional planner I’ve found yet. If you love lists and you love planners you definitely need to check this one out.
Hi, my name is Liz and I have a huge water bottle obsession. Lately everyone has been talking about S’well water bottles, I mean they’re amazingly instagrammable, and I definitely have one (champagne sparkle if you’re wondering.) But I have one major problem with it. I ALWAYS SMACK MYSELF IN THE MOUTH WHEN I’M TRYING TO TAKE A SIP. Especially when I’m running or biking and trying to stay hydrated. Maybe I’m just a klutz, but the fact that it is made of metal means that it can be a pretty painful experience. I discovered the nathan water bottle while I was wandering around TJ Maxx and it was super cute and it was only $7. Sold. I didn’t realize how much I would love until I got home and actually used it. The mouthpiece is covered in this soft plastic, so if you’re a total klutz like me and don’t want to chip your teeth while trying to take a drink of water you should definitely check it out.
TV Show
Scandal
I know, I know. Everyone and their mother has watched this show. Well I just started it about two weeks ago and I am beyond obsessed. Like “already ordered a set of Crate & Barrel ‘Camille’ wine glasses” obsessed.
