October Favorites 2016

Another month has come and gone and I am freaking out y’all.  Now don’t get me wrong, November is one of my favorite months of the year (my birthday, Thanksgiving, Starbucks Red Cup…) but oh my gosh, it’s almost 2017. I am however super excited for the holiday season so I guess its ok.  October was a good makeup month but I’ve also got some lifestyle things to share with y’all so lets get started.

Makeup

Bobbi Brown Holiday 2016 “Bobbi to Glow” Shimmer Brick Palette. This was a total “Treat Yourself” purchase. I was browsing around Sephora during their 20% off friends and family sale and fell in love with this palette the second I saw it. I’ve been a long time lover of Bobbi’s Shimmer Bricks so having 3, practically full size shimmer bricks in one palette was just too good to pass up. I’m especially loving the gold as a highlight.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Holiday Kiss Liquid Lipstick in “Allison”. I went back and forth over whether or not I should buy this. Its a gorgeous mauve plummy pink. My biggest concern was that it was too similar to Kat Von D’s “Lolita” but when swatched next to each other, “Allison” was definitely on the pinker side while “Lolita” was more brown. I swatched it against numerous other lip products before I determined that it was definitely a unique color. The wear time is great, the comfort level is standard of a liquid lipstick. Basically the color is what sold me and I’m super happy that I purchased this as I’ve been wearing it 3+ times a week since I got it. This is part of the Holiday Kiss Collection so if you’re interested get on it.

OPI Infinite Shine Nail System. You can check out my rave review of this system here. As I stated in my review, I love this system. I’ve already bought 4 more colors. oops.

Armani Si. LOVEEEEEEEEE. I’m a huge fan of warm, sweet scents and this is right up my alley. This was a repurchase from last year and I have been wearing this every day. I’m working on a full post on this product so keep an eye out for that if you’re interested in this perfume.

Nars Sarah Moon “Isadora” Blush. I’m a sucker for Nars limited edition blushes. No clue why. Maybe it’s the packaging. Whatever the reason this blush is gorgeous. It’s a natural, pinky brown, almost iridescent? Thats a horrible description… There’s no shimmer it just gives you a gorgeous tawny glow and I am loving it.

Skincare

Sunday Riley Martian Mattifying Melting Water-Gel Toner. I can’t even describe how much I love this stuff. I use this at night after I’ve washed my face and I have found that my skin has been more smooth and even toned since I’ve started using it. So next time you’re at Sephora grab yourself a sample and prepare to be amazed.

Fashion

Southern Proper Tartan Frat Hat. This is by far one of my favorite fall and winter fashion accessories. I love me some Tartan and this ball cap is the perfect plaid addition to any outfit.

Lifestyle

Coloring Books. Little late to the bandwagon on this one but holy cow I love adult coloring books. I’ve been especially loving this Vogue one. I find that I like to color away while vegging out to some Netflix.

Song

“Up All Night” by Kenny Chesney ft. P!nk. I never thought to put P!nk and Kenny together but whoever did is certifiable genius. I’ve also been loving “Undone” by Joe Nichols.

Show

Bones. Considering my obsession with crime shows I have no excuses as to why it took me so long to get around to this show. Better late than never though? right? If you like Greys, Criminal Minds, NCIS or anything similar then Bones is gonna be right up your alley. I’m already on season 8 so let me know what shows you’ve been loving so I can avoid the dreaded “now what do I watch?”

Those are all the things I’ve been loving this month! What have y’all been loving?! Anything I absolutely must try?

xoxo
Liz
