Let’s just kick this off by saying I LOVE a good poncho. The fall-ish (just go with it) flair that they bring to any ensemble, the ease and comfort, I just can’t get enough! When I saw this cream and black plaid number a few months back I knew I had to have it.

As we approach the middle of September my longing for big cozy sweaters and duck boots has intensified tenfold. However, seeing as Texas hasn’t gotten the memo and we are stuck with 98° days, ponchos will have to do. I spotted this classy checked plaid number back in July and I picked it up without a second thought. Now that its September I am just over the moon that it is FINALLY getting to the point where I might be able to wear it! I love the neutral colors, the cream and the white allow me to pair this with almost anything. Being the neutral lover that I am I paired it with all white (no white after labor day say what?), I’ve also paired it with denim skinny jeans and a black blouse.
These cream over the knee boots were the perfect addition to this overall neutral outfit . Over the knee boots are another fashion staple in my fall wardrobe, I just love how they just kick everything up a notch. While I do love Stuart Weitzman and his highlands and lowlands my college kid budget does not. I snagged these suede dupes for under $50 last fall and I am beyond ecstatic that they are back in stock and now with more colors!
