Let's Have a Chat
This post was meant to be up aaaaages ago, but ya know, life and whatnot. I’m gonna blame quarantine.
There is no specific theme to this post to be quite honest. It’s more just a chance to catch up, bring y’all up to speed on all the super exciting {insert loads of sarcasm} things going on in my life and share a few things I’ve been loving lately.
Figured we’d start by chatting about the body shaped indent in my sofa from the nonstop binging of Love Island. The books I’ve picked up, the recipes I’ve been trying out, the essential oil blends I’ve been diffusing nonstop & of course all the things I’ve snagged during my online shopping excursions. Basically we’re just having a bit of chat, so pour yourself a cup or glass of something and let’s catch up.
The Big Q
Quarantine has been one of the best things for me. Not that I enjoy all the restrictions and masks and whatnot, but the shut down realllllly forced me to slow down and cut out a lot of the “extras”. Here we are 5 months later and I’m feelin pretty grateful. I’m that person that is packing their agenda to the brim and if I’m being completely honest with myself I’m fighting burn out quite a bit so this was the rest and that I knew I needed but wasn’t going to take for myself.
So what am I doing with all this free time? Watching gorgeous brits fall in love in an island villa. LOVE ISLAND. Y’all. I am OBSESSED. Like ‘has a list of british slang words in their planner’ obsessed. Yes, I know, I’m weird.. I just finished season 5 and wooooooo Michael. To use Love Island terms he is definitely my type on paper, and I’m pretty sure he’s the perfect guy. So Michael if you’re reading this, hit a girl up if you’re ever in Dallas.
In between recouplings and practicing my british accent I’ve been doing a fair bit of reading and book shopping, I just picked up this one, this one and this one. I’m a hugeeeeee historical romance/mystery fan and I always love a good self help or development book so I’m really freaking stoked about these picks. I’ve also picked up more cookbooks in the last 2 months than I’ve ever purchased in my entire life. Once again, I blame quarantine

Long story short, doing my own dip nails is sooooo much easier than anticipated and I love being able to swap out my colors whenever I fancy.
I’ve tried a few kits and this one is by far my favorite (bonus points that its super affordable) and this link will score you a discount cuz #ballinonabudget

Nature’s Ultra CBD
Muscle Rub
Apparently working from your couch is not the best for your back? who knew?! I also sleep like a contortionist so I wake up with a sore back quite regularly (yes I do need a new mattress, thank you for asking.)
Don’t let the price scare you, a little goes a looooong way. If you want to save some cash and get 24% off errythang for life, just grab the CBD Starter Kit.

A Lovely Cup of Tea
I’ve recently gotten really into tea again. Maybe a result of binging British television shows?
I always get asked what I use to froth my oat milk and this is by far my favorite frother (I’ve been through quite a few so I feel very confident saying that)

Stasher Bags
I am slowly but surely working on ditching my old un-sustainable, toxic and not so eco friendly products and habits and switching to more earth happy/friendly products. Its been a slow go and I’m ok with that! I figure slow and steady so I don’t get overwhelmed and don’t have to drop a wad of cash right off the bat.
Anywho. Stasher bags. One of my favorite resuable discoveries. I’m OBSESSED. They’re so easy to use, air tight, can be frozen, they’re dishwasher safe, can be used sous vide. If they’re ever damaged or need to be replaced, you can send them back and they will repurpose them, so no waste!
I highly recommend the bundles for some savings, I got the Mojave bundle, because I mean look at those colors.

Love & Lemons Cookbook
I’ll start this off by saying , no I am not a vegetarian, no I am not vegan. I am however focusing on buying only responsibly raised and finished meat products as well as incorporating more veggie based dishes.

Tie Dye Sweats
I now have sweatpants, a sweat shirt, a crop top, and a bikini alllll tie dye. Best laid plans right?
This trakkie set is probably my favorite tie dye item at the moment. It’s so soft and cozy, and perfect for Love Island binge sessions (the tie dye hides the food and wine stains)

Mini Cooler
Enter the Tag Along Too. I got the turquoise (duh) and it is just absolutely perfect. It holds all my cans of ranch water, plus some water, its perfect for me and a friend. The over the shoulder strap is perfect for the walk to and from and honestly I could not have designed a better cooler if I tried. And at $40 you’re mental for passing it up.

And that brings us to the end of this outrageously lengthy post! My feet have gone slightly numb as I’ve been sitting criss cross apple sauce while writing this so I can only imagine the state your eyes are in. If you’ve made it this far. Well, you have my applause.
